Hope
Original painting
22x28 inches
acrylic on canvas
This painting was
inspired by a poem :
HOPE
High atop a mountain
she sits in gentle conversation with the wind
A child of the earth
she glows with love
and grows like the flowers
more beautiful each day
She wispers to the wind
for at the point in the sky
where the moon begins to mingle
with the clouds
the evenings first star is visible
the wind softly replies...
by Lance Bunda.
Dreamy art 4x6 mni~print
suitable for standard frame.

Pitcairn Island
This painting was inspired by the movie *Mutiny on the Bounty*.
The film was one of the biggest hits of its time. Although its historical accuracy has been questioned (inevitable as it is based on a novel about the facts, not the facts themselves), film critics consider this adaptation to be the best cinematic work inspired by the mutiny.
The HMS Bounty was burned on a small bay( you can see it in the painting) to avoid being detected
by other ships.
There are several versions of this film since the original back 1935.
Many books had been written on this most famous mutiny ever.
Pitcairn is the least populous and most remote jurisdiction in the world,a little group of islands in the south Pacific Ocean.
Today’s Pitcairn Island population is descended from British sailors and Tahitians. The mutineers of the HMS Bounty settled the island [first discovered by world explorers on 2 July 1767 by midshipman Pitcairn aboard the HMS Swallow] in 1790, along with their Tahitian women and a few Tahitian men. Fletcher Christian and his band of mutineers seized the Bounty from Captain William Bligh on 28 April 1789 following a voyage filled with disrespect and frequent, sometimes severe, punishments from Bligh toward his crew.

SHIMMERING DREAM
CRYSTAL LUCID LOVER
YOU TOUCH
EMBRACE ME IN MY DREAMS
THOUGH AWAKE
I CANNOT HOLD YOU
ANYMORE THAN I COULD HOLD THE FLOWING WATER OF A STREAM
I'M LOST WHEN YOU ARE NEAR
AS MY WORDS
MY ACTIONS DO BETRAY
HOW ELOQUENCE ESCAPES ME
AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO OR SAY
STILL I WANT YOU LIKE NO OTHER
ELUSIVE VISION
SHIMMERING LIGHT
AND BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT HAVE ME
I'M RESIGNED TO HOPE TO HAVE YOU IN THE NIGHT
