Jacaranda

Acrylic on canvas
16" X 2O"

WHERE HAVE I BEEN ALL MY LIFE

I looked in life's mirror
and what did I see
someone unfamiliar
staring back at me
now I know what I'm like
and I'm like what I saw
but where have I been all my life
tell me please

scattered memories
offer hints of the past
a whirlwind existence
that blew by too fast
stripping the leaves from my trees
so tell me please
where have I been all my life

Such a beautiful painting and poetry, love this pretty Jacaranda and the gorgeous mauve flowers.
Is there going to be a book?
Many thanks for visiting me and I hope that you have a happy week.

This is too beautiful to describe. Between the magnificent painting and soulful poem, I'm contemplative and speechless!
